Anita L. Staver, Esq.
General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Legal Affairs
Anita Staver is an attorney with more than 25 years of nonprofit legal organization management experience. Recognized as an expert on constitutional issues, her practice before the United States Supreme Court and numerous federal courts has resulted in more than 70 published opinions. She is a member of the bars of the State of Florida and the District of Columbia, and has been admitted to practice before 12 federal appeals courts.
Anita co-authored two scholarly law review articles and was a guest on a variety of television news programs. Her writing is published in a reference guide, The Popular Encyclopedia of Christian Counseling. Her articles have appeared in the Washington Times and other national publications, and she has been interviewed by numerous media outlets, including Newsweek.
Kentucky Governor Julian Carroll named Anita an Honorary Commissioner of Agriculture, and she was also commissioned a Kentucky Colonel. On the recommendation of a local judge, the mayor of Paducah, Kentucky, gave her the honorary title, Duchess of Paducah.
Anita was valedictorian of her law school class and graduated with her Juris Doctor degree summa cum laude. During law school, she studied at the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France. Anita also graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and earned a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. Her academic honors and memberships include the University of Kentucky Dean’s List; Ashland Oil Scholarship recipient; University of Kentucky Traveling Scholars Award; Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology; Jacobs and Goodman LSAT Scholarship; Law Journal Editorial Board; Law Journal Note and Comment Editor; and contracts law tutor.
