Upper Room Church Becomes CJA's First Affiliate
ORLANDO, FL — The Upper Room Church Ministries of Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, has become the first Christian School Affiliate with Covenant Journey Academy (CJA).
In addition to homeschool, Covenant Journey Academy also offers private Christian School Affiliate options. CJA can provide all or part of your Christian school program.
Christian School Affiliation Options
CJA provides all courses online, including promotional and marketing materials, and handles everything from enrollment to course completion for all its courses.
The Cross-Promotion option is totally online with no on-site use of the organization’s facilities. The Facilitation, School Enhancement, and Custom New School options are hybrid models wherein an organization provides on-site facilities and CJA provides all or part of the K-12 online courses.
Cross-Promotion Affiliate Program
The Cross-Promotion option provides a revenue share for your organization or a discount for those who enroll under your organization. This option does not include on-site facilities.
Your organization promotes and encourages students to enroll in Covenant Journey Academy. CJA includes your organization as part of its Affiliate promotion program on its website.
Facilitation Affiliate Program
The Facilitation option allows your organization to host students in your facilities during the school day along with a Facilitator who chaperones the students, supervises during the school day, and provides any other activities.
You provide the room. CJA provides the school.
The Facilitator does not have to be a licensed teacher since all courses are provided by CJA.
You can immediately launch a one-room schoolhouse where students can be in one or more rooms with a Facilitator. Each student is taught independently at their own pace with CJA online courses.
School Enhancement Affiliate Program
Expand your existing school with CJA courses. The School Enhancement option allows your school to supplement its course offerings.
If you already have a K-5 school, combining the Facilitation option with the School Enhancement option, you can add grades 6-12. Or if you have a K-12 school, your course offerings can be supplemented by one or more CJA courses.
CJA has many courses to supercharge and expand your Christian school.
Custom New School Affiliate Program
If your organization wants to launch its own private school, the Custom School Affiliate option may be for you. CJA can partner with you to help make this dream a reality. CJA can provide some or all your courses online along with its certified teachers.
This option has several variables and will differ state by state.

Through the Affiliate program with CJA, The Upper Room Church Ministries can now offer students a first-class Christian education, beginning with kindergarten and going all the way through high school graduation.
The Upper Room Church Ministries is an independent nondenominational Full Gospel ministry that was founded by Pastors David and Darlene Akers in 1986. Located in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, The Upper Room Church Ministries was born out of a vision to see God transform lives, regions, and the nation. In the early 2000s, David and Darlene increased the outreach of URCM by pioneering a weekly television program, In the Upper Room, on the Sky Angel Television Network and launching the Spirit 95.7 radio station.
Today, Justin Akers, the youngest son of David and Darlene Akers, serves as senior pastor. Pastor Akers has continued to expand the ministry, both locally and online, working to build community among believers and empower the URCM family with Christ-centered spiritual and educational resources, including the weekly The Heart of David podcast and the monthly Vaulting Voices podcast with Angel Storm, Ph.D.
